In 2001, the SOI studio was created at FLA, College Park, a digital video facility using IPv6 over Internet2.

  • Digital video streaming of 33 Mbps each way (66 Mbps both ways)
  • IPv6 all the way
  • Between East Coast of USA and Japan
  • Probably a world distance record for real-time remote lecture
