Grid Computing This is a new project. The Grid is an infrastructure that enables the global collaboration of people and of resources (computers, storage devices, and networks). It involves sharing resources that are distributed, heterogeneous, and often across multiple administrative domains. The flood of data will be generated by current and emerging applications. The data holding at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)'s Eros Data Center (EDC), for instance, is expected to be over 3 petabytes by 2005 from 154 terabytes in 2000. Our research concentration is on Data Grid, which addresses issues specific to handling large amounts of data in a Grid and sharing storage data resources. Our current research activities include
