Collaborations

MINDSWAP Maryland Information and Network Dynamics Lab Semantic Web Agents Project (mindswap) - The Semantic Web Research Group under Dr. Jim Hendler is working with Semantic Web technology inside the MIND LAB.
Technologies developed due to this Collaboration:
  • Task Computing
  • OWL-S API
  • OntoLink

  • MINDLAB The MIND LAB Wireless LAN group under Dr. Ashok Agrawala is working with us to better understand wireless data networking.

eBiquity Group The eBiquity Group is a research organization that consists of faculty and students from the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). We are working with Dr. Tim Finin and Dr. Anupam Joshi on Pervasive Computing for mobile users.

Center For Bioinformatics and Computational Biology The Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology is a research center under UMIACS with active participation from from various academic units including Biology , Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. We are working with Dr. Mike Cummings and his group to apply grid computing technology to Bioinformatics research.

Joseph F. JaJa The Approach to Digital Archiving and Preservation Technology ( ADAPT) Project under Professor Joseph JaJa of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and UMIACS are working with us on a Lightweight Preservation Environment for digital data. Dr. Jaja's group is leading several data grid projects addressing persistent digital data archives for the National Archives and Records Administration and the Global Land Cover Facility.
